Getting started
No. Tally stays for your books. Kounterr handles the orders and the customer side — the part Tally doesn't do. Most shops use both. CSV export to Tally is coming soon.
If you have your GSTIN and one product to add, you can have your first order live in 10 minutes. Catalog import (200+ SKUs from CSV) takes another 15 minutes.
No. Every order gets a live, hosted page your customer can open in any browser — status, invoice, payments. You don't need to build or host anything.

Invoicing & GST
Yes. CGST/SGST for intra-state, IGST for inter-state, HSN codes per item, place of supply, invoice numbering per fiscal year — all included. Show one to your CA and they'll sign off.
Kounterr's GST invoices are e-invoice ready (HSN codes, GSTIN fields), and full e-invoice IRN integration is on the roadmap. Below ₹5 Cr turnover, e-invoice isn't mandatory anyway — the standard GST invoice covers you.
Custom invoice templates — logo, colors, payment terms — are coming to Platinum. Today every plan uses the standard GST format, which most CAs prefer anyway.

Customers & access
They don't have to. The order link works in any browser — Chrome, WhatsApp, even an SMS link. They tap it, see the status, download the invoice. That's it.
Each staff member should have their own login — sharing one creates audit-log mess. Staff accounts with roles (sales, warehouse, accounts) come with Gold and above.
Yes. The customer-facing pages are built to load fast on slow 4G. The admin side works on phones too, though a tablet or laptop is more comfortable.

Pricing & billing
Yes. One shop with basic inventory, orders and GST invoicing — free, no expiry, no card needed. We make money when your shop grows.
Anytime. Upgrade and the new tier kicks in immediately. Downgrade and it kicks in at the next billing cycle.
Cancel anytime from the billing page — no calls, no retention scripts. You keep paid features until the end of the period you've paid for, then move to the Free plan. No partial-month refunds; the full details are in our refund policy.
Yearly and 3-year plans carry a 14-day full-refund window from purchase — buyer's remorse is covered. After 14 days they're non-refundable; the discount is the trade-off for the commitment.

Data & control
You can export every order, invoice, and customer to CSV from Settings. Your data is yours. If you cancel, records stay read-only for 90 days, then deleted. No hostage tactics.
Your business records — orders, invoices, customers, inventory — live on servers physically located in Mumbai (Supabase ap-south-1). Account sign-in details are handled by our auth provider as described in the privacy policy.
No — and it's not just a policy. It's enforced at the database level using row-level security. Other shops literally cannot query your data.
