No. Every order gets a live, hosted page your customer can open in any browser — status, invoice, payments. You don't need to build or host anything.

Yours. Everything here is about the invoices YOUR shop issues to YOUR customers — your GSTIN, your HSN codes, your CGST/SGST splits. Kounterr generates those for you. Kounterr's own subscription billing is a separate matter, covered in the next question.

Not yet — and at our current size, the law doesn't require it. Kounterr is a Udyam-registered MSME, and service providers with aggregate turnover under ₹20 lakh are exempt from GST registration, including for inter-state services (Section 22 of the CGST Act, 2017 read with Notification 10/2017 – Integrated Tax). Two practical consequences: subscription prices carry no GST — the price you see is the full amount — and your subscription invoice is not a GST tax invoice, so it can't be used for input credit yet. When we cross the threshold or register voluntarily, tax will be shown at checkout and proper tax invoices will follow.

Not at all. The invoices your shop generates depend only on YOUR GST registration — your GSTIN goes on them, your tax is collected by you. Kounterr is just the tool that formats them correctly.

Yes. CGST/SGST for intra-state, IGST for inter-state, HSN codes per item, place of supply, invoice numbering per fiscal year — all included. Show one to your CA and they'll sign off.

Kounterr's GST invoices are e-invoice ready (HSN codes, GSTIN fields), and full e-invoice IRN integration is on the roadmap. Below ₹5 Cr turnover, e-invoice isn't mandatory anyway — the standard GST invoice covers you.

Custom invoice templates — logo, colors, payment terms — are coming to Platinum. Today every plan uses the standard GST format, which most CAs prefer anyway.

They don't have to. The order link works in any browser — Chrome, WhatsApp, even an SMS link. They tap it, see the status, download the invoice. That's it.

They don't need to — staff get their own logins. Gold includes up to 5 staff, Platinum unlimited. Staff run the counter: orders end-to-end, payments, invoices, customers and stock adjustments. Billing, reports, settings and product edits stay owner-only.

Yes. The customer-facing pages are built to load fast on slow 4G. The admin side works on phones too, though a tablet or laptop is more comfortable.

Yes. Today it's a two-step: cancel your current plan (you keep it until the period ends) and pick the new one from the billing page. One-click plan switching is on the way.

Cancel anytime from the billing page — no calls, no retention scripts. You keep full access until the end of the period you've paid for; after that your account pauses until you pick a plan again, with your data kept safe. No partial-month refunds; the full details are in our refund policy.

Not yet. Kounterr is a Udyam-registered MSME below the GST registration threshold — service providers under ₹20 lakh aggregate turnover are exempt from registration (Section 22, CGST Act read with Notification 10/2017 – Integrated Tax), so no GST is charged and subscription invoices are not GST tax invoices. If we register later, tax will be shown at checkout. GST invoicing for YOUR customers is a product feature and works regardless.

Yearly and 3-year plans carry a 14-day full-refund window from purchase — buyer's remorse is covered. After 14 days they're non-refundable; the discount is the trade-off for the commitment.

You can export every order, invoice, and customer to CSV from Settings. Your data is yours. If you cancel, records stay read-only for 90 days, then deleted. No hostage tactics.

Your business records — orders, invoices, customers, inventory — live on servers physically located in Mumbai (Supabase ap-south-1). Account sign-in details are handled by our auth provider as described in the privacy policy.

No — and it's not just a policy. It's enforced at the database level using row-level security. Other shops literally cannot query your data.
